Snake bites dogs

Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, Jun 7 (UNI) Three police dogs were bitten by a poisonous snake during a training programme at Armed Reserve (AR) police grounds, here last evening.

Police sources said the viper bit the sniffer dogs - Pluto, Rani and Goldy - during a training session in a thorny bush.

The dogs were treated by a team of veterinary doctors and the condition of one of the dogs was stated to be critical.

The cops killed the snake.
