Six labourers due to asphyxiation

Rajkot, June 7 (UNI) Six labourers were suffocated to death after poisonous gas leaked from underground tank while they were cleaning it in a factory at Morbi, around 70 km away from here.

The labourers were cleaning the underground tank at Comet Vitrified factory last night, when the poisonous gas emanated from the tank and they fell unconscious immediately, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Punamsinh Damar (23), Dalsingh (34), Amra Vasta (25), Vishnu Kantilal (28), Roopsingh Dalsinh (25) and Sahjanand Harma (25), the police added.
