Servant poisons family, one dies

Noida, Jun 7 (UNI) Four members of a family were found poisoned at Sector-50, Noida and police suspect involvement of their domestic help.

While one woman died later in hospital, the others were in a critical condition.

''Satish Maini has been living with his family at a rented house in Sector-50 here and they kept one Arvind as a servant 15 days ago'', said Superintendent of Police R K Chaturvedi.

Arvind, hailing from Nepal, offered food to the family that could have been laced with poison yesterday and escaped with cash amounting to lakhs. Ajay, his wife Sandhya (36), son Rakshak (15), his daughter Sara (3) and one of his domestic help were found unconscious, the SP added.

The family members were admitted at Prayag hospital where Sandhya died during treatment while others were in a critical condition.

The house had been sealed and further investigations were on, he added.
