Nashik experiences light rains

Nashik, Jun 7 (UNI) The district received 5 mm rain in the last 24 hrs, whereas the city area received 0.2 mm rain today.

According to district administration sources, Igatpuri taluka of the district received 5.0 mm rain in the last 24 hrs. Since June 1 the district has received 83 mm rains. Taluka wise, Igatpuri has received 7.0 mm rain, Malegaon 16.0 mm, Nandgoan 4.0 mm and Chandwad 54.0 mm, during this period.

This rain is 5.5 per cent of the average rain of the June month, sources said.

Meanwhile, as many as three person have been injured due to the lighting and 10 animals also lost their lives this week.
