Motorcyclist crushed to death

Jalandhar, Jun 7 (UNI) A 50-year-old motorcyclist was today crushed to death under the wheels of a truck at railway crossing near Maqsudan in the district.

GRP official said that Gurmel Singh of Lamba Pind died on the spot when he came under the wheels of a truck, while trying to overtake the vehicle from the wrong side.

The official said that a case under sections 304A and 279 of the IPC was registered against the driver, who managed to escape from the site after the accident.
