Major reshuffle in police administration in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Jun 07 (UNI) In a major reshuffle in the top police administration in Orissa, five Inspector General (IG) of Police, four Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police and eight Superintendent of Police (SP) were today transferred.

IG of Police, Investigation, Orissa Human Rights Commission Ramesh Prasad Singh was transferred and posted as IG of Police, Intelligence in place of Aruna Kumar Ray, who was posted as IG of Police, Vigilance.

IG of Police Operation S S Hansdah was shifted and posted as Director, State Forensic Science Laboratory, Bhubaneswar, IG of Police, Computer, B Radhika was transferred and posted as Director, Biju Patnaik State Police Academy.

Mr B P Mohapatra, IG of Police, in-charge of Eastern Range, Balasore, was posted as IG of Police, Investigation, Orissa Human Rights Commission.

Additional Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, Y B Khurania, would be now the DIG of Police, Northern Range, at Sambalpur, while DIG of Police, North Central Range, Arun Kumar Sarangi had been posted in Bhubaneswar as DIG of Police, Operation.

DIG of Police, Vigilance, Lalit Das was transferred and posted as DIG of Police, North Central Range in place of Mr Sarangi.

DIG of Police, South Western Range, S K Nath replaced Y B Khurania as the new Additional Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

Baragarh Superintendent of Police Sanjeeb Panda was promoted to the grade of DIG and posted as the DIG of Police, South Western Range, Sunabeda in place of Mr S K Nath.

Similarly Balasore Superintendent of Police Y K Jethwa was promoted and posted as the DIG of Police, Eastern Range, Balasore.

Jharsugura SP Santosh Bala was transferred and posted as SP Rourkela in place of Ravi Kant, who was appointed as the new DCP of Bhubaneswar.

Vigilance SP Rekha Lohani was transferred and posted as SP, Balasore, and Ganjam SP S S Dev Datta Singh was transferred and posted as SP, Berhampur, in place of Mr Nitinijeet Singh, who was posted as SP, Ganjam.
