GSU threants to organise agiation
Shillong, Jun 07(UNI) The Garo Students' Union(GSU) has threatend to stage a road blockade and bandh in the Garo Hills district of Meghalaya if miscreants who attacked their president recently were not arrested soon.
The GSU has served a five-day deadline to the state government, appealing to arrest all miscreants who were involved in the attack on the Union's president Utzol Ch Sangma on May 8 in his residence and subsequently ransacked its office next day in Garo Hills.
Although the students body lodged a complaint with the police against 16 persons in connection with the incident, no one had so far been arrested.
