Jammu Kashmir: Firing in LOC in Poonch
Jammu, Jun 7: Indiscriminate fire from across the Line of Control (LOC) hit the Kranti Outpost in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir late last night, official sources here today said.
''There was indiscriminate fire from across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) in Krishna Ghati area,'' the sources told UNI and alleged, ''Firing was opened at Salhutri area late last night in an apparent attempt to push trained militants into Indian side.'' However, no casualty was reported in the firing which lasted for more than two hours, they added.
During the last one month, there had been firing at Ragal in Samba, Salhutri in Mendhar and Tangdhar in Kupwara sector in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
