Father kills son over money
Amritsar, Jun 7 (UNI) A man was allegedly killed by his father over some money dispute in the border village of Balawar near Lopoke in Amritsar (Rural) district, police said here today.
According to police, Bholi, the widow of Sardari Singh, said her husband had gone last evening to the Haveli in the village to meet his father Darshan Singh, to ask for some money.
Bholi claimed that when her husband did not return for sometime, she went to look for him in the Haveli where she found that her father-in-law had killed her husband with a sharp-edged weapon.
She also alleged that Darshan, with the help of another man, set her husband's body afire in a bid to destroy the evidence.
Sardari Singh is survived by wife Bholi and their five children.
Police have registered a case under section 302, 201, 34 of IPC against Darshan Singh and another man who are both absconding.
