CBSE declares Pre-Dental, Pre-Medical results

New Delhi, Jun 7 (UNI) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today declared the results of the All India Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT), 2008.

The examination was held in two stages -- Preliminary and Final. Over 1.50 lakh candidates registered in the Preliminary Examination, out of which 22,014 candidates qualified for the Final Test, which was held on May 11 this year.

Based on the Final scores, 1776 candidates (unreserved candidates- 1389, SC candidates- 268 and ST candidates- 119) were placed in the Merit list, and 1642 (unreserved candidates- 1389, SC candidates- 253) in the Wait list.

The candidates can access their results today on the websites www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in.

The first round of Counselling, starting from June 13 by personal appearance through video conferencing, would be conducted at New Delhi, Kolkata and Puducherry.

The allotment of candidates to Medical colleges will be made by the Directorate General of Health Services, according to the category rank only.

The schedule for the first and second rounds of allotment by personal appearance can be seen on the website www.mohfw.nic.in.

The candidates placed on Merit/Wait list should report for allotment of seats as per the information given on the same website.

The college-wise vacancy position may also be seen on the website www.mohfw.nic.in during the Counselling period.
