Broadband coverage for entire East Godavari

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, June 7 (UNI) The entire East Godavari district will have broadband coverage with the remaining 114 telephone exchanges getting connected by internet within a couple of months, Telecom district Manager RMM Krishna said today.

Talking to UNI here, he said at present, the Internet facility was provided to major urban exchanges and a few rural exchanges. With the commissioning of 15 more cell towers, cell users would have disturbance-free network and easy connectivity even during the peak hours within a month, taking the total number of towers to 34.

In all, 50 cell towers would be commissioned during this year, he added.

The multiplay service facility -- providing TV connection, Internet connection through the telephone -- would be introduced in Kakinada and Rajahmundry soon, he added.
