Another gruesome murder in Noida

Noida, June 7: A domestic help, hired six months ago, last night drugged a family of four and strangled a woman to death before decamping with valuables worth at least lakh rupees.

Police said Akash alias Rajkumar hailing from Nepal, was employed by the Mainis at their Sector 50 rented house. Last night, he drugged the family consisting of Ajay Maini, his wife Sandhya, their son Rakshak (15) and daughter Sara (03). While he was making good his escape, Sandhya woke up and resisted. The accused tied Sandhya's hands and strangled her, killing her instantly. As there were no usual noises from the family's first floor house since last night, the landlord entered the house and discovered the crime. While Sandhya was declared brought dead, the others were recovering in the Prayag hosiptal. Efforts were on to nab the accused.
