NCC cadets rally on global warming in TN

Tiruchirapalli, Jun 6: A group of NCC cadets from St John's Vestry Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School and Home Guards took out a rally here yesterday to create an awarenes about global warming.

District Collector T Soundiah flagged off the rally. District Environmental Engineer P Rajasekar spoke on the need for planting trees and recycling plastic to mitigate pollution.

Similar rallies and meetings were held in different parts of the district where speakers underscored the need for car pooling and cutting down electricity and fuel consumption to save environment.
