Petrol at Rs 55.04 in Mumbai
Mumbai, Jun 6 (UNI) Following the announcement by the Maharashtra government to reduce fuel prices by two and four per cent, petrol will now be sold at Rs 55.04, while diesel will be sold at Rs 38.92 and LPG cylinder at Rs 336.49 in the city.
Earlier, petrol, diesel and cooking gas cylinder were sold at Rs 50.54 per litre, Rs 36.11 per litre and Rs 297.98 respectively in the metropolis, an official statement said here today.
The government announced the cut in sales tax on fuel prices last night after all the political parties demanded reduction in the same.
The state government reduced the sales tax after hike announced by the Centre.
