Indian MPs to discuss climate change, poverty with Yale faculty

New Delhi, Jun 6 (UNI) A delegation of Indian Parliamentarians will hold brainstorming sessions on the issues of climate change, poverty reduction, leadership and good governance with the faculty of Yale University in the US.

The MPs would also witness internal dynamics of the US Presidential elections and other important issues during their short visit beginning tomorrow, group deputy leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said here today.

''We will also meet senior advisors to US President George Bush, presumptive nominees of Demcratic and Republican parties Obama Barack, Hillary Clinton and John McCain,'' he added.

Led by Mr B J Panda, the group, sponsered by the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry(FICCI), is leaving for the United States tonight.

The Indian delegates would interact with top faculty of the US university which has produced more than a half dozen Presidents, including Bill Clinton, Dr Singhvi said.

The delegation includes Ministers of State Jyotirditya Scindia, Shobana Bharatiya, Saleem Sherwani, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Vijay Darda and Yashodhara Raje Scindia among others.
