HIV positive couple commit suicide along with two kids

Rajkot, Jun 6 (UNI) A couple, who were diagnosed HIV positive, allegedly committed suicide along with their two children at Prempara village of Visavadar Taluka in Junagadh district.

The couple, Manshukhbhai Baldha (40) and Dayaben (35), along with their two children -- son Utam (3) and daughter Kolam (5), went to their farmhouse yesterday, where the couple first gave poison to the children and then consumed it themselves, police said.

The couple were detected HIV positive, a month ago.

Mansukhbhai and Utam died immediately, while Dayaben and Kolam died on their way to Junagadh civil hospital.

According to police, the suicide note recovered from the site, said, ''We are taking the extreme step on our own and no one should be held responsible for it.'' UNI AV RN GL BD1537
