Depressed inmate commits suicide

Barwani, MP, Jun 6 (UNI) A 35-year-old undertrial inmate committed suicide by breaking a glass medicine bottle and stabbing himself under depression in the district jail here, police said today.

Nansingh, resident of Dhar district's Kudawipuri, went to the lavatory and injured his neck, stomach and other parts of the body with a piece of the broken glass.

He succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital yesterday.

Judicial Magisterial inquiry orders had been issued with regard to the incident.

Nansingh, who was charged with killing his wife, was detained in jail on March 19.
