Boy drowns in canal

Kanpur, June 6 (UNI) A six-yr-old boy drowned in a canal in Kakadeo area of the city today.

Five childern had gone for a bath in a canal in Double Pullia, police said.

Aslam of Rawatpur village slipped drowned in the deep water, while Nisha, Aisha, Shabna and Shamya swam to safety.

The body had been sent for autopsy.
