Airtel tower damaged in grenade attack in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jun 6 (UNI) An Airtel tower was damaged in a grenade attack in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, official sources said today.
They said during the night of June 5 and 6, militants hurled a hand grenade towards the Airtel tower installed on the premises of one Abdul Khaliq Sheikh at Dangiwacha.
It exploded near the tower causing damage to it, they said.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.
This is for the first time the tower of any mobile company was attacked in the Kashmir Valley since the service was started in 2002.
