Aditya Birla Nuvo shuts Jagdishpur unit

New Delhi, June 6 (UNI) Aditya Birla Group today said its unit Aditya Birla Nuvo has shut down its fertiliser plant at Jagdishpur in Uttar Pradesh two days ago due to fire in synthesis gas compressor turbine.

The company is assessing the extent of damage and time required for carrying out the repair, a statement said.

The preliminary inspection shows the plant will be able to restart its operations in a fortnight time, it added.
