2 JLT ultras arrested in Palamu

Daltonganj, June 6 (UNI) Police today arrested two hardcore ultras of the Jharkhand Liberation Tigers (JLT) in Palamu district.

Suprintendent of Police Deepak Verma said acting on a tip off, police arrested both ultras, identified as Nandkishore Yadav and Mantu Yadav.

Mr Verma said both of them were involved in several Maoist operations, including setting fire to construction machines in the district.

In a separate incident, ultras of the Jharkhand Prastuti Committee (JPC) set fire to a goods truck and shot at its driver - Birendra Yadav - late last night at Panki-Ranchi main road.

The driver was admitted to Medininagar Sadar Hospital, police said.
