Two arrested Pakistani soldiers repatriated
Jammu, Jun 5 (UNI) Two Pakistani soldiers arrested today after they stepped on Indian territory in Akhnoor sector were repatriated after a flag meeting in the afternoon, an official spokesperson said.
Two Pakistani soldiers, including one in uniform, were arrested by security forces at Khore area along the international borders in Akhnoor sector early this morning, Lt Col S D Goswami said.
They were identified as Havildar Jamil Abbas, 35, and Sepoy Asgar Ali, 25, of 56 Baloch regiment of Pakistan army, he said.
''The soldiers, who had inadvertently strayed across to the Indian side yesterday, were handed over to the Pakistan army at a flag meeting at 1300 hrs as a goodwill gesture,'' he added.
