Ten-year investment promotion agreement with Myanmar

New Delhi, June 5 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today cleared a bilateral agreement to increase investment flow between India and Myanmar.

''The Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement with Myanmar will be in force initially for 10 years,'' Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.

To protect existing investments, the provisions of the Agreement will continue for 15 years after the date of its termination, he said.

The Agreement aims to promote and protect the interests of investors of either country in the territory of the other country.
