Striking doctors assault photo journalists
Patna, June 05 (UNI) Junior doctors of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) today assaulted three photo journalists, who were taking photographs of the patients, affected by their strike for the past three days.
Official sources said here that doctors thrashed some photo journalists when they were taking snaps of the patients admitted in the PMCH. Three of them sustained injuries in the incident and were admitted to a private nursing home.
Meanwhile, national spokesman of the RJD Shyam Rajak condemned the incident and demanded from the state government to take stern action against the guilty.
Earlier, junior doctors of PMCH went on an indefinite strike after an scuffle with the relatives of a nine-year-old girl, who had died due to alleged negligence during the treatment in hospital.
