Overnight rains hit New Delhi again

New Delhi, Jun 5: After dry and sunny weather since the beginning of the week, light to moderate rains hit Delhi again last night, bringing some coolness in the air. The rains and thundershowers followed an overcast sky since last evening.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.5 Degree Celsius, one degree below normal. A total of 1.6 mm rain was recorded till 0830 hrs today. More rain and thundershowers have been forecast in the next 24 hours with Delhiites waking up to a heavily cloudy sky. The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in the capital during the next 24 hours with rain and thundershowers likely in a few areas.

Some thundersqualls are also likely to hit the city in the next 24 hours.
