IED recovered, LeT ultra arrested in Jammu
Jammu, Jun 5 (UNI) Security forces today recovered four Improvise Explosive Devices (IED) while a militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit was arrested in twin bordering districts of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.
''Based on specific information, a joint search operation was launched by police and 38 Rashtriya Rifles in village Laharka Ghambir Mughlan near Manjakote,'' sources told UNI asserting that ''four IEDs, three detonators, 47 Dura pencil cells were recovered from a hideout.'' Meanwhile, Doda Police and security forces jointly arrested one Lashkar militant from village Shadwan in Doda district late last night, official sources said.
''One Shabir Ahmad Mallah, resident of Challiban, of LeT outfit was nabbed by the search party while one mobile phone and huge quantity of indiscriminating material was recovered from his possession,'' they said.
During preliminary questioning, the militant revealed that he remained a close associate of Mohd Iqbal, a District Commander of LeT outfit in Doda district.
