Gowda to lead rally against Petro prices hike
Bangalore, Jun 5 (UNI) Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal(Secular) President H D Deve Gowda will lead a rally in the city tomorrow to protest the hike in petroleum products.
The protest was against the Centre as well as the Karnataka Government, which had reportedly declined to slash the Sales Tax and other state levies on petro products to reduce the burden on the ordinary people, JD(S) General Secretary Y S V Dutta, said in a release here today.
Starting from the JD(S) office, the rally would culminate at Rajbhavan, and a memorandum would be submitted to Governor Rameshwar Thakur.

governments
to
cut
the
local
taxes
on
Petrol,
Diesel
and
LPG,
the
JD(S)
leader
said
'It
is
pity
that
the
new
BJP
government
in
Karnataka
has
taken
an
adamant
stand
not
to
reduce
the
