Two Andaman Teachers chosen for National Award

Port Blair, June 4 (UNI) The Union Ministry of Human Resource Development has selected two teachers from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the National Award for Teachers, 2007.

An official release of the Andaman administration issued here today said the recipients selected for the award were Mr Syamal Kumar Ganguly, Head Master of the Government Secondary School Laxmipur of North Andaman Diglipur, and Mr Munni Lall Mourya, Graduate trained Teacher of the Government Secondary School, Miletilak, South Andaman.

President Pratibha Patil will present the awards to the recipients on the occasion of Teacher's Day on September 5 at New Delhi, the release added.
