Tin slab, copper wire bars

Mumbai, June 4 (UNI) Prices of tin slab and copper wire bars in non ferrous metals and copper heavy and brass utensils in ferrous metals segment drifted lower on sustained selling pressure by stockists on bearish advice from London Metal Exchange (LME), Kolkata, Delhi and southern regions, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said here.

In the ferrous metals category (per quintal), copper heavy, copper utensils and brass utensils declined steeply by Rs 100 each on thin buying support by local dealers, induced by discouraging advices from Delhi, Indore, Kolkata and other centres.

In the non-ferrous metals category (per quintal), copper wire bars and tin slab came down by Rs 100 per quintal and Rs five per kg respectively in line with copper in the ferrous segment.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 37,100, copper utensils - Rs 33,000, brass utensils - Rs 25,000, brass cuttings - Rs 26,300 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,300.

Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 40,600, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,700, zinc slab - Rs 11,800, lead ingots - Rs 11,200, tin slab - Rs 1,190 per kg and nickel cathode - Rs 1,160 per kg.
