Three hospitalised after falling unconscious in sewerage

Ambala, Jun 4 (UNI) Three persons including a contractor fell unconscious under influence of ammonia gas in the sewer disposal well being constructed for laying the sewerage line in village Barnala near Baldevnagar Ambala City today.

The work contractor Yogesh along with a labourer Naresh climbed down the 16 feet well to inspect the site and fell unconscious.

Another labourer Deepak also who went down to check on them after some time, also fell unconscious due to the gas.

Later, finding that all three had fallen unconscious, one Sohan Lal, after covering his face properly ventured inside and tied them with a rope thrown by people from above.

They were pulled out of the well gradually and rushed to civil hospital where they have regained consciousness.

Sohan Lal, who played a major role in saving three lives has been rewarded by the local MLA Vinod Sharma, who had rushed to the spot on hearing the news.
