Stop Uma from claiming herself BJS president: Prahlad
Indore, June 4 (UNI) Bharatiya Jan Shakti Party's senior leader Prahlad Patel, who claimed to be the party's elected President, urged the Election Commission of India to stop BJS Founder President Uma Bharti writing and stating herself as party president.
In a letter written to the ECI Secretary, Mr Patel said that the dilemma for organisational election may harm the party hence the ECI should take the decision fast.
The letter, which was issued in a press conference here today, stated that the majority from the party worker to the national office-bearers reached to the conclusion that the party's leader should possesses democratic values and faith in the party's constitution and policies.
He said that in this situation, Ms Bharti cannot use the party president status till the ECI's decision. The National council has confirmed the election of Mr Patel as BJS president.
'' Ms Bharti is never my ideal though I joined BJS but I am solely responsible for that decision,'' he added.
