Six die of electrocution as live wire snaps in Temple

Villuppuram, Jun 3 (UNI) Six people, including two women, were electrocuted to death and 33 others suffered burns, when a livewire fell on them at a temple in Melmalaiyanur village in this district of Tamil Nadu this evening.

Police sources said the victims were waiting in the special darshan queue to offer worship at the Goddess Angalamman temple on the occasion of the New moon day, when the tragedy struck them.

Four of the deceased were identified as Ravi (45), Rani (50), Pachammal (45) and Murugan (25).
