4 held in molestation case in Mumbai

Mumbai, Jun 4: Four people, including a retired pilot, were arrested on charges of molestation and threatening a 20-year-old woman in a hotel at Sakinaka in Andheri, a western suburb, police today said.

They said Vikas Prabhakar Naik (61), a retired pilot, Kedar Bharat Maniyar (25), Snehal Ravindra Bhatt (21) and Jai Pravinchandra Mehta (21) (all trainee pilots) had last night gone to Hotel Sagar Tek Mall, Sakinaka and consumed alcohol. They then allegedly started misbehaving with three girls, who were sitting at another table in the hotel. When Naik allegedly molested one of the girls in the presence of other customers, another girl called up the police.

At around 2200 hrs, the quartet was booked by police under charges of molestation and threatening the girl. They would be produced in the Andheri court today. Further investigations are on, sources added.
