Rainfall occurred at few parts of the State

Bangalore, June 4 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrst today.

Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Gangavathy 6 Rabkavi 4 each Nargund 3 Jamakhandi, Yadgir, Gulbarga, Gowribidanur, Bellary, Parasurampura, Rampura, Pavgada, Harihara 2 each, Hubli, Kushtagi, Badami, Aurad, Bimalkhed, Humnabad, Bhalki, Gabbur, Tarikere, Sargur, Chamarajnagara, Kolar, Nayakanahatti, Hospet, Kudligi 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 38.1 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until the Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Fisheries warning: Strong on-shore winds from south-westerly direction speed occasionally reaching 45-55 kmph likely along off Karnataka coast during next 24 hours.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall is expected over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. No significant change is expected over North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy sky.

Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night.
