Punjab Chief Secretary to review bank security

Chandigarh, June 4 (UNI) Taking a serious view of the Rs 37 lakh bank dacoity in Amritsar yesterday, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today instructed Chief Secretary R I Singh to review the security arrangements with senior bank officials in the state.

The Chief Secretary is expected to hold a meeting with officials of various banks functioning in the state soon.

The Chief Secretary is expected to review the arrangements inside branches of banks and also with vans transporting money from one branch to another.

During a media briefing here, the Chief Minister promised all help to banks for beefing up the security arrangements.
