Price hike to effect common man: Munda
Ranchi, Jun 4 (UNI) Expressing concern over rise in petroleum price, Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Arjun Munda today said it would create an adverse affect on common man.
'' On one hand the Centre failed to check price-rise and on the other it raised the price of petroleum products putting extra burden on common man,'' Mr Munda, the former Chief Minister, said.
'' Once again it has been proved that UPA coalition cared least about common man,'' he added.
The Union government today raised the prices of diesel by Rs three, petrol by Rs five and LPG by Rs 50 per cylinder.
Criticising the Union government CPI state secretary and Hazaribagh MP Bhuvneshwar Mehta said his party would launch a seven-day long statewide agitation from tomorrow.
He said the party members would also burn Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram in effigy on June 10.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Truck Owners Association has announced to increase its fare by ten per cent from June 6.
