Pondy Govt to bear fees of ST medicos
Puducherry, June 4 (UNI) Puducherry Welfare Minister M Kandasamy today said the administration would bear the amount spent by Adi Dravidar students, apart from the tuition fees, to secure admissions in private medical colleges here.
Talking to newspersons after a meeting with representatives of private medical colleges here, he alleged that the institutions were fleecing the students by taking more than the tuition fees fixed by the Government. If the SC students provided details of the expenses incurred, the Government would bear it. An agreement would soon be signed with the colleges for the same, he added.
He said another round of meeting would be held in another ten days with the chairpersons of all private colleges.
