Pondy CM hands over milch animals to ST families

Puducherry, Jun 4 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today gave away milch animals to Scheduled Tribe families here.

The Chief Minister, in a bid to uplift the STs gave away the animals each costing Rs 12,000 to 26 ST families of TN Palayam in Embalom constituency.

Pondicherry Cooperative Milk Dairy (PONTLE) provided the subsidy of Rs 1.44 lakh for procuring the animals.

Legislator Rajaraman, PONTLE MD Vasanthakumar and ST Peoples' Federation president Ramkumar, were present on the occasion.
