Naxals gun down 2 in Chhattisgarh
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Jun 4 (UNI) Naxals killed two villagers and set ablaze seven vehicles, including two buses, in separate incidents in Chhattisgarh, police said today.
Suspecting five people, residents of Bijapur district's Ghangol village, as police informers, insurgents kidnapped them, killed two villagers and seriously injured the rest yesterday. The victims were admitted to the primary health centre.
Ultras also set fire to two passenger buses and a truck on Dantewada-Balidila road last night in Dantewada district. No causality was reported in the incident.
Four Tipper vehicles, used in Tin mine, were also turned to cinders by the maoists 4 km from Dantewad district's Bacheli area.
Police force was moved to these spots.
Taking precaution against the naxals threat to blow a passenger train, plying between Bailadila and Vishakhapatnam, the train's stoppage was changed.
The train would now ply from Jagdalpur to Vishakhapatnam till June 9, railway sources said.
