Langah warns officials on advance plantation of paddy
Chandigarh, June 4 (UNI) Taking strong view of the early plantation of paddy in some areas, Punjab Agriculture Minister Sucha Singh Langah today issued a warning that the officers found erring in proper implementation of the ban would be suspended, if the Paddy planted before June 15 was not destroyed.
''In view to check further depletion of ground water it has become necessary to check the early plantation of Paddy in the state,'' the Minister said adding that those Block Agriculture Officers would be suitably rewarded who tilled the early planted Paddy in their blocks.
Mr Langah said that Block Agriculture officer would be held responsible if he failed to bring into the notice of Chief Agriculture officer regarding the advance plantation of Paddy in their respective blocks.
