Goa Congress MLA Gurudas Gawas dead at 40

Panaji, Jun 4 (UNI) Goa Congress MLA Gurudas Gawas died today after a brief illness in a Mumbai hospital.

He was 40.

Gawas was elected from Pale constituency in North Goa last year, for the first time. He was also the chairman of the Goa Handicrafts Rural and Small Scale Industries Development Corporation.

Gawas was admitted to hospital last week. The funeral will be held tomorrow in Pale, also his native place, family sources said.

He is survived by wife and son.
