Duplicate DVD, VCD, DIVX and MP3s seized

Bangalore, Jun 4 (UNI) Central Crime Branch Sleuths seized 8,295 fake movie discs worth more than Rs 15 lakh and arrested two persons in this connection.

Additional Commissioner of Police Gopal Hosur said Stephen and Babu used to purchase fake DVDs, VCDs, DIVXs and MP3s of Hindi, English, Telugu and Tamil movies in wholesale from Paris Corner in Chennai and sell them to retailers and pavement vendors.

The raids were conducted following a complaint from IMI Company Junior Investigator R Gajendra and cases booked against the arrested under the Copyright Act.
