Duplicate DVD, VCD, DIVX and MP3 seized

Bangalore, June 4: Central Crime Branch sleuths have seized 8295 discs spurious discs worth more than rs 15 lakhs and arrested two persons in this connection.

Additional Commissioner of Police Gopal Hosur said that Stephen and Babu used to purchase duplicate DVD, VCD, DIVX and MP3s cinema copies in Hindi, English, Telgu and Tamil in wholesale from paris corner in chennai and sell it to retailers and pavement sellers.

The raids were conducted based on a complaint from M/s IMI company junior investigator R Gajendra and cases were booked against the arrested under copywrite act.
