CII urges K'taka CM to focus on backward sectors

Bangalore, Jun 3 (UNI) The CII today urged Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to focus on agriculture, investment and urban and rural infrastructure improvement.

A delegation, led by CII Karnataka Chairman S Viswanathan chapter, met the Chief Minister at his residence, a release said here.

Mr Viswanathan said CII would work with the government to improve rural connectivity and agro based industries in the state.

He also urged the Centre to extend tax incentives for investment in backward areas in the state.
