Akashvani news director passes away

Lucknow, June 4 (UNI) Akashvani News Director Munni Lal today passed away in Sanjay Gandhi Ayurvedic Institute here after a prolonged illness. He was 60.

He is survived by two sons and two daughters.

Mr Lal was unwell since last month and was undergoing treatment in the Ayurvedic Institute.

His last rites will be performed tomorrow at Bhaisa Kund here.

Samajwadi Party supremo and Uttar Pradesh former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav expressed profound grief over his demise and prayed for the departed soul.
