12 cattle died, 15 structures, school damaged in Kashmir flood
Srinagar June 4 (UNI) At least twelve cattle died while 15 structures and a school building were damaged in a flash flood in south Kashmir, official sources said today.
They said water of Veshaw nallah entered vililage Khud Hanjiora in south Kashmir, Kulgam, after a breach in irrigation canal, following heavy rains in the entire area.
However, the residents were immediately rescued and taken to safer places, but 12 cattle died, they said.
They said three houses suffered extensive while six others partial damage.
A school building and some cowsheds were also damaged due to flood water.
