Surjeet discharged from hospital

New Delhi, Jun 3 (UNI) Veteran CPI (M) leader Harkishan Singh Surjeet, who was admitted to a Noida hospital on May 6 in a semiconscious state, was discharged today.

The health of the 93-year-old Marxist leader, who was brought to the Metro Heart Institute in a semiconscious state with acute respiratory problems, was satisfactory, doctors said.

Mr Surjeet slipped into a coma following acute cardio-respiratory problems and multiple organ failure and remained on ventilator for several days, they said.
