Shahbaz Sharif likely to be elected Punjab CM
Islamabad, June 3 (UNI) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and Nawaz Sharif's younger brother Shahbaz Sharif is likely to be elected Chief Minister of Punjab, before the budget session of the provincial assembly.
A private TV channel today reported that current Chief Minister Sardar Dost Muhammad Khosa had been appointed as temporary CM of Punjab, where the PML-N enjoys majority, and he can quit his office at any time on his party's direction.
Sharif has been elected unopposed from Punjab's Bhakkar town as MPA. All other candidates have withdrawn their nomination papers.
