Rupee falls at 42.53/54 per USD

Mumbai, Jun 3: The Rupee today fell to 42.53/54 against US Dollar, weakening about 13 paise, from its previous close of 42.40/41 per doallar tracking the sharp fall in the local equity market.

The Indian currency weakened sharply on negative cues in stock market, raising concerns about more foreign portfolio outflows, dealers said.
