Resignation on practcal not on moral grounds: Vishnoi
Jabalpur, Jun 3 (UNI) After tendering his resignation to Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jhakhar, former Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi reached here and was accorded a warm welcome at railway station.
Amid festive ambience, Mr Vishnoi's supporters gathered at the station, shouted slogans in his support and offered garlands last night.
He resigned after volley of allegations by the political parties after Income Tax Department sleuths conducted massive raids at the premises of his brother and Madhya Pradesh State Small Industries Corporation Managing Director Abhay Vishnoi and more than people of acquaintances on May 30.
A large scale of assets disproportionate to their known sources of income were found in the raid.
''The resignation was tendered not on moral grounds but on practical grounds and I received this political education from the Jan Sangh and BJP school,'' Mr Vishnoi said while talking to the reporters.
